Tour d'Azerbaïdjan 2013 Multi-stage Bicycle Race

Objective

In winter 2013, we received a task to organize a large-scale cycling race as a part of continental tour to be held in seven regions of Azerbaijan and in Baku. It was UCI ranked 2.2 cycling race.

Responsibility

EuroMedia provided live streaming of the opening race, television filming of all stages of the tour (auto/moto-, aerial filming), created graphic design for Tour d'Azerbaïdjan and produced stories for daily broadcast on Eurosport channel. In total more than 100 tons of equipment was used for technical support of the event. During the period of the project more than 200 news releases were made in 16 countries worldwide, our team organized a press tour for 15 journalists from 11 international media from 8 countries.

Outcome

Tour d'Azerbaïdjan 2013 multi-stage bicycle race was recognized to be the best sports event in Azerbaijan. This status was awarded to the race based on the results of the nomination in the best sports events held that year as announced by magazine "Towards the Olympus" and the newspaper "Olympic World" issued by the Azerbaijan National Olympic Committee (NOC).
