The Eurovision Song Contest 2005 was the 50th Song Contest and was to take place in Ukraine. We received a seemingly impracticable task – in record-breaking short time, just three months, to prepare one of the most high-tech shows in the history of the contest. The event was to take place at the Palace of Sports in Kyiv with the capacity of nearly 10,000 seats for spectators.
The "Awakening" concept of the contest, which symbolized the awakening of the country and the city after the spring, has been fully implemented.
EuroMedia team managed to ensure creative, technical and organizational implementation of the entire 'turnkey' project to the utmost. We involved renowned international experts in different fields. The stage design was our original Solution, it consisted of 8 items. This allowed creating unique designs for performance of each singer.
