Objective

In 2008, Azerbaijan made its debut in the Eurovision Dance Contest 2008. It was necessary to ensure the participation of Azerbaijani artists Eldar Jafarov and Anna Sazhina in the contest, prepare a routine for the presentation, and develop a promotional campaign.

Solution

"The Phantom of the Opera", this was the name of a bright contest routine where Pasodobl intertwined with elements of traditional Azerbaijani dance Odlar Yurdu ("Land of Fires"). New arrangements of the song from the musical "The Phantom of the Opera" with the use of national instrument tar (lute), dancers' costumes designed in traditional style – all created an ultimate impression of the performance. The pair entered the top five of the strongest dancers, taking 5th place.
